Enrico Bittelli is an American certified climbing instructor with experience in the Alps, Rockies, Dolomites, Yosemite and the Yukon. He is a member of the Club Alpino Italiano (CAI) Eagle Team and recipient of an American Alpine Club "Live Your Dream" grant to partake in a month-long expedition with four-man team (Davide Bacci, Enrico Bittelli, Dario Eynard and Giacomo Meliffi) to open the new route "Yukon Gold" on the middle Huey Spire in Canada's Cirque of the Unclimbables.
Enrico Bittelli is completing a geology degree at the University of Bologna, and is working on a field research project with samples from the McKenzie Range in the Northwest Territories of Canada's Yukon.
Bittelli has rafted the Nahanni River in the Yukon, summiteed Mont Blanc and Monte Rosa in the Alps, as well as El Capitan in Yosemite. He also enjoys backcountry skiing, ice climbing, hiking and playing guitar.
Bittelli has worked as a rock climbing instructor, trimmed vines in Italy's vineyards, waited tables at Italian restaurants and taken on various landscape and outdoor jobs. He can saw, chop and stack, and once won a wood splitting competition in a small Idaho logging town.
